VOLUNTEER - FLY TYING BASICS

There's something magical about tying your own fly and catching a fish with it. For many people, fly tying is an intimidating skill to master. That's where the F•Y•S•H Foundation comes in. As a volunteer and fly-tying mentor, you'll have the chance to share your love and knowledge of the craft with others eager to learn.

Teaching fly tying is an opportunity to pass down a skill handed down for generations. As a mentor, you'll see the joy and sense of accomplishment in your students' eyes as they tie their own flies for the first time. You'll be part of a community of anglers passionate about giving back and helping others experience the thrill of fly fishing.

As a fly-tying mentor, you'll have the chance to inspire and teach a new generation of fly fishermen and women. You'll also have the opportunity to share your own stories and experiences on the water and connect with others who share your love of the sport. Whether you're working one-on-one with a student or leading a group fly-tying demonstration, you'll be making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
